THE EARTH WILL BE DESTROYED

 

Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.    (2 Peter 3:13)

OUR PROPER RESPONSE

We should be live holy and godly, looking ahead to the new heavens and new earth.  2 Peter 3:10-13

We should serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.   Hebrews 12:26-29

We should not live  for things on this earth - even those things closest to us.  1 Cor 7:29-31 (Remember, though, we are still to love.)

We should be patient for the Lord's return (like a farmer waits for rain), and we should strengthen and stabilize our hearts for the Lord's return.    James 5:7-11

We should trust God because He will be a stronghold for those who trust in Him in the day of trouble.   Nahum 1:3-8

 

OLD TESTAMENT ONLY
